Abstract

The article offers information on supercomputing world's Top500 list where it shows that Intel Corp. dominates against Advance Micro Devices Inc. It states that China with its most powerful system to date, ranks no. 5 and Cray XT5 supercomputer located at Oak Ridge National Laboratory ranks no. 1 with its 1.75 petaflops on the Linpack benchmark. It adds that the list shows that U.S. leads the supercomputing clout with 277 systems, Europe with 153 systems, and Asia with 50 systems.
