Fear of and Susceptibility To Prostate Cancer as Predictors Of Prostate Cancer Screening Among Haitian-American Men.

The article offers information on a study which determined if perceived susceptibility to prostate cancer was congruent with the objectively measured disease risk of prostate cancer in Haitian-American men. The associations of components of an integrated model composed of perceived susceptibility and fear are also tested. A discussion on the predictive relationships of the constructs to prostate cancer screening behaviors among Haitian-American men is detailed.
