Abstract
- The article discusses the significance and consequences of Françafrique, a term used to characterize the good relationship between France and African states. The writer and economist François-Xavier Verschave, who also adopted Françafrique, outlines the traits that characterize Franco-African relations including opacity of information, crimes, and complicity of African governments. It also explores how the influences of France has severely diminished.
