Abstract

The article reports on the research conducted by X. J. Zhang and colleagues to investigate the flexibility of chiral azacycles synthesis via iridium-catalyzed hydrogenation in the U.S. Researchers developed a technique to synthesize chiral pyrrolidines, piperidines and azepanes through N,P-ligated iridium catalysts. The found that the selectivity of the technique range from good to excellent, making it useful for the synthesis of natural products and medical compounds.
