Abstract

Examines the prevalence of mutations associated with increased antiretroviral drug resistance by testing specimens from HIV-infected persons from 1993 to 1998. Demographic and risk characteristics of HIV seroconverters and those with reverse transcriptase or primary protease mutations; Genotypic and phenotypic results from seroconverters; Transmission of mutations to drug-naive persons.
