Abstract

The article discusses the aspects of Quorum Sensing, which was discovered in the marine bacterium Vibrio fischeri and limited to series of species. It states that the same systems were discovered to be present in manyu other Gram-negative bacteria. Furthermore, these type of bacteria uses acylated homoserine lactones (AHLs) as signal molecules that are mainly produced by a homolog.
