Abstract

The article discusses nuclear physics research using the Tevatron collider at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, or Fermilab. As researchers there have not detected a nuclear particle called the Higgs boson, they want to operate the Tevatron for 3 additional years to allow them to do so. Fermilab co-spokesperson Dmitri Denisov is cited regarding plans to look for Higgs bosons in the range of 114 to 185 giga-electron volts.
