Abstract

The article presents a study which investigates the cDNA encoding lanosterol synthase (LS) clone produced from Ganoderma lucidum (G. lucidum) through a homology-based polymerized chain reaction (PCR) method. It discovers that the LS cDNA contains an open-reading frame (ORF) of 2,181 bp while the genomic DNA sequence of LS contains 2,924 bp. It infers that the results of PCR are probably affected by the triterpene biosynthesis regulated network of G. lucidum.
