Abstract

The article discusses cooperative learning technique called Academic Controversy, as well as its effect to intercultural education. It mentions that the technique, also called Cooperative Controversy, involves a cooperative form of debate in which groups of four offers opposing views until it reach to consensus of an issue. It also discusses the effect of the technique to the teaching-and-learning process, the educational benefits from the techniques and variations of techniques. Instruction on how to perform the technique is also given.
