Abstract

The article presents a study which aims to confirm the diagnostic capability of two logistic regression models that contain ultrasound and clinical variables to calculate the malignancy in adnexal masses. The study involved 1938 patients with adnexal masses, who underwent to transvaginal ultrasound assessment by a radiologist or a gynecologist skilled in ultrasonography. Results show that both models provide accurate differentiation between malignant and benign masses.
