Abstract
- I check my checking and credit card account statements nearly every day to make sure there are no fraudulent charges. For me, no amount is too small to fight -- whether it's the $300 in fraudulent debit card charges I noticed last month or more recently, a $10.95 ''travel center'' charge I realized I mistakenly made. But while my wrong charge threshold is pretty low, it seems that everyone has a different level they think is worth fighting for, after taking into account the time spent checking the account, waiting on the phone with customer service and the stress from the whole process.
