Abstract
- The article presents a study which examines the influence of within-reach spatial variability of snails such as potamopyrgus antipodarum and physella acuta on the risk of habitat-based predation of young brown trout. The study uses analysis of variance to compare densities of both snail and its patterns of consumption among trout. Result shows that physella and potamopyrgus are denser on macrophytes than stony sediments, however their risk of consumption for both habitats were similar.
