Reports on the absence of infection in a neonate after possible exposure to Sin Nombre (SN) hantavirus in breast milk. Results of reverse transcriptase-PCR analysis of breast milk and blood samples from a mother with SN virus infection and of blood samples for her infant; Role of local neutralizing antibodies in preventing viral transmission to the infant through the breast milk.
