Abstract

The article discusses a study which examines the effectiveness of methyl caffeate as an α-glucosidase inhibitor from a Solanum torvum fruit. Findings reveal that methyl caffeate had significant structure for maltase and sucrase inhibition. It indicates that its inhibitory action against α-glucosidase could be a good prospect for Solanum torvum fruit as an antidiabetic element.
