Abstract
- The article presents information on the development in design of freeform progressive power lenses (PPL). The author informs that the evolution of different designs of PPL lenses depend on industrial design restrictions and differentiation from competitors. Alternative design direction adopted by PPL design is to determine the patients' requirements by involving them in an active discussion regarding their visual and lifestyle requirements.
