Tabari whose contribution to exegesis is highly valuable is same time the owner of the book titled tarih al-Rusul wa'l-Muluk. He studied in this work the history of the humanity from the creation of the world up to his time. He sometimes referred The Quranic verses. So these verses had been mentioned according to their relation with time and place. This provided their understanding in better way.
