Abstract
- The article offers information on the endangered Urophysa rockii Ulbr species, which needs urgent conservation due to the threat poses by the completion of the Wudu Reservoir project in 2011 to their crack rocks habitat. It states that the species, which was discovered by J. F. Rock in 1925, feature spurs on its back petals base and leaf and flower colours that changes prior to temperature. It adds that Urophysa rockii reproduces by curling stalks with ripe fruits into cracks to scatter seeds.
