Abstract

The article presents three mathematical problems which demonstrate how to formulate and analyze combinatorial problems in geometrical settings. The three problems use basic concepts in geometry and each problem engages students in the processes of visualizing, counting, and generalizing. In this approach, students are given the opportunity to deepen their understanding of mathematical problem's structure.
