Abstract

The article presents results of a national survey on physicians' opinions about reimbursement reform proposals. Findings reveal physicians' dissatisfaction with Medicare, and little consensus for major proposals that carried risks of reduced reimbursement to health care providers. Opposition to bundled care payment system and high level of support for incentive-based reform are highlighted. Successful adoption of reforms are said to require a better understanding of physicians' concerns.
