Abstract

Some East End wineries, like their counterparts elsewhere, don't stop at grapes: They turn pears, apples, boysenberries and blueberries into beverages that easily find their place at the dinner table. Wickham's Pear Cider, a product of Shinn Estate Vineyards, in Mattituck, can give Thanksgiving dinner an uncommon dimension. So can Big Apple Wine from Wolffer Estate Vineyards, in Sagaponack.
