Abstract
- The author discusses the influence of the newspoll survey on politics in Australia. He states that the absence of surrounding battlements of incumbency for opposition leaders makes them more vulnerable to polls than prime ministers. The author notes that the plethora of internal party polling can be a threat to democracy.
