Examines the importance of cholinergic stimulation for the enhancement of colonic motor activity, transition and sensation in human. Activation of muscarinic receptors using cholinesterase inhibitor; Reduction of colonic distension in acute colonic pseudo-obstruction; Assessment of sensation to luminal distension.
