Abstract

The article offers information on the personal life, career development and occupational achievements of biologist D'Arcy Wentworth Thompson. It states that Thompson was brought up by his maternal grandparents and studied at Cambridge University in England to take a degree in natural sciences. It notes that he became known due to his great contributions in biomathematics including his used of a Nautilus shell to explain the logarithmic of equiangular spiral and his method of transformations.
