Towards a planetary approach to Western literary canons.

An essay is presented regarding the canon of the Western literature which was described using the planetary approach. It discusses the well-known Anglo-American literary studies by Joseph Conrad entitled "Heart of Darkness" which exposes the elements of imperialism, sexism, and racism resulting to criticism by Chinua Achebe. It also discusses the East Asian literary confusion which emerges through the need for reader's recognition in the core areas.
