Preventing catheter-associated UTIs: Survey report.

Abstract
- The article discusses the results of a survey to explore nurses' knowledge of catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI) in the U.S. The mean score of 178 respondents was 64% correct, with no differences in scores based on education, work setting or licensing status. Nurses working in the Emergency Department and rehabilitation scored highest with mean of 69% while those in intensive care scored lowest with mean of 59%. It presents an analysis of current practices and makes recommendations in applying the CAUTI care bundle.
