Technological developments having gained acceleration thanks to the globalization process have increased the efficiency of the media on global scale. Media being the carrier of cultural values has extremely increased its efficiency on perception, consciousness and sensation processes by the virtue of developing electronic and visual communication technologies. This power of the media also brings along ethical and supervision problems. In this study, change which the media has undergone in the process of globalization, new media environment and ethical problems which globalizing media has created in the social life are discussed from a critical aspect as well as regulations, agreements and documents arranged by international organizations making studies on media ethics and supervision are examined.
