Survey of Medical College Libraries in Andhra Pradesh, India.

In this article the authors examine the libraries of medical schools located in the Andhra Pradesh region of India. The article notes problems in the promotion of public health by the Indian government and the late development of professional education and achievement in the health sciences in the 60 years since India achieve independence. A number of topics are addressed including the adoption of technological innovation in medical libraries, the qualifications and payment scale of medical college librarians in Andhra Pradesh, and the procedure for lending library materials.
