The 10th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity—a breakthrough for biodiversity?

Information on the 10th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP 10) of the Convention on Biological Diversity which was held in Nagoya, Japan on October 18-29, 2010 is presented. Topics include adoption of protocol to cover access and benefit-sharing in genetic resources, 2011-2020 strategic plan and agreement on financial resources mobilization to implement the Convention. It states that reduction of rate of biodiversity loss is also discussed in the symposium.
