Abstract

This paper presents the theoretical basis that models the behavior of The switched reluctance machines and their drives. The general characteristics, the differential equation system that constitutes the mathematical model of the motor and the Simulink's blocks, which have been built for running the simulation, are outlined. The results of the simulation have been shown and compared with those obtained experimentally. The Simulink model is used for studying the Switched Reluctance motor drive behavior under some operation conditions and theoretical explanations for the simulation's results are given in every case.
