AXA Private Equity Agrees to Buy Novacap from Bain.

Abstract
- The article reports on the decision by AXA Private Equity to purchase a majority stake in Novacap from Bain Capital. The deal is valued at about 240 million Euros. Novacap, a diversified company consisting of three chemical business units, posted sales of around 470 million Euros per year. The units are Novacarb, Novacid and Novapex. It has invested 30 million Euros to develop new operating units for expansion of activities. According to AXA's Thibault Basquin, they intend to assist the firm in developing new applications.
