Abstract
- The article reports on replacing wired Ethernet with Wireless LAN (WLAN) access. According to Wi-Fi Alliance that 802.11n equipment will have five times the throughput and twice the range of legacy wireless-fidelity (Wi-Fi) gear. Moreover, the results of the survey indicate that WLAN is still the main means of connecting end users to the network. It presents a graph depicting the impact of Local Area Networks (LANs) as an end-user access method.
