Abstract

The article presents a study on the self assessment of appearance by patients who underwent posterior spinal fusion with instrumentation for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS). There were not significant preoperative differences found in 93 patients in the all pedicle screw cohort and 61 in the hybrid cohort. A better assessment of self-appearance was determined for all pedicle screw constructs.
