Abstract

The article presents a study that investigates the efforts of the medical structural genomics in the discovery of new drugs for infectious diseases. It offers information on medical structural genomics particularly on the structures of medically relevant drug targets in pathogens that serves as a starting point for inhibitor design and drug development. A chart is presented depicting the protein structure information in the design and development of new therapeutic entities.
