Abstract
- The article presents a study which aimed to estimate the incidence rate of HIV among a group of high-risk heterosexuals (HRH) in New York City. Detuned assay testing was used and a multidimensional sampling strategy was carried out to make the incidence estimation. Results show that the overall incidence rate was 3.31% every year and among participants who have no lifetime history of male-to-male sex or drug injection, the incidence rate was 2.59 every year.
