Abstract

Presents a study that examined the maternal aggression in cichlid mossambicus during the fish mouthbrooding cycle. Methodology used in the study; Comparison between the behaviour of brooding female with non-incubating females; Changes in the agressive behaviors and feeding activities during the brooding cycle of the female cichlid fish; Reasons for the increased maternal agression of female fish during the cycle.
