Abstract
- This article discusses the role of technology, media, and communications in the closed society of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. It discusses the actions of independent news organizations such as Open Radio North Korea, the role of citizen-journalists, and the control of the government on the flow of information into and out of the country. The access of North Korean citizens to online social media, printers, and other technologies is also explored.
