Abstract

The article examines production management by aerospace industries firm Lockheed Martin of the construction of the F-35 jet fighter plane. The U.S. Department of Defense's 2010 decision that the company was not qualified to use is Earned Value Management System (EVMS), a production management computer software tool for scheduling and cost control, is discussed.
