Abstract
- The article reports on the resurgence of scientific research in the Middle East as of 2011. The resurgence is being led by Iran and Turkey. The research papers produced by the region has doubled in the previous decade. Engineering, agricultural science and clinical medicine are the fields in which the region has the biggest share of global research papers. Education consultant Mick Randall noted the low quality of research in the Gulf region.
