Abstract

The analysis of the survey the state of learning in the field of computers in higher education in Thailand found that the current teaching instruction is still mainly focused on the lecture course by transfer knowledge to students (Teacher--based). The knowledge gained from studying like a teacher giving notice to explain the story or description alone. Which affect the ability to Higher-order Thinking of learners. The research results showed that the Higher-order Thinking Skill of students in advanced courses related to computer field, most were moderate. The Critical Thinking Skill is in the medium (50.57%), the Problem- Solving Thinking Skill is in the medium (60.71%), and the Creative Thinking Skill is in very less level (33.81%). And the relationship studying between Critical Thinking Skill and learning achievement of the students revealed that Critical Thinking Skill associated with learning achievement (GPA) with statistically significant level of .01. When analyzing the relationship with learning achievement by subjects in the course related to computers were found to be associated with some subjects such as Object-Oriented Programming had statistically significant level of .05 and Database Systems, Computer Network Systems, Multimedia Technology and Wireless Technology had statistically significant level of .01.
