Students, faculty inspired by Japan dielections conference.

Information about several papers discussed at a forum for electroceramics research held on May 19-20, 2009 sponsored by the Center for Dielectric Studies (CDS) and the Center for Piezoelectric Materials and Devices on dielectric materials is presented. Topics include logistical complications, processing of dielectric materials, and the need of the industry for research programs. The meeting featured several technical presentors including Toru H. Okabe, Hiroki Habazaki, and Sachiko Ono.
