Abstract
- The article reports on the shortcoming experienced by the extensive earthquake warning system in Japan. It mentions that despite possessing the worlds densest seismometer, warning system and tsunami barriers, it underestimates the range of disaster coverage and damage. Masumi Yamada of Kyoto University states that the problem is attributed to the miscalculation of the point source of the earthquake.
