Abstract

The article reports on Hungarian universities that offer Jewish Studies programmes after 65 years of Holocaust and 20 years after the fall of communism in Hungary. Budapest Rabbinical Seminary was re-established after the Holocaust and became the centre of Jewish studies after the end of Communism. It states that Eötvö s Loránd University (ELTE) introduced the Judaic Studies major in Assyriology. Jewish Studies courses are also offered at Central European University (CEU).
