- Reports that coronary calcification as detected by electron-beam computed tomography, is thought to be a predictor of coronary events such as myocardial infarction. Details of a study by Jacqueline Witteman et al in Netherlands that suggests how coronary calcification might predict stroke risk; Mention of research in Sweden on the subject.
