Abstract
- The article focuses on the effect of the 2009 global recession on the Prince Rupert Public Library in British Columbia. It notes that the cuts in the funding of libraries prompted the library to close its operations on Mondays. It states that the recession affected the speed of the processing of materials by the acquisitions department of the library. It features the perseverance of the librarians to maintain the quality of service they provide to their clients.
