Abstract
- The aim of this paper is to analyze how bidder shareholders value the announcement of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&As), examining the influence of the legal and institutional environment of the firms. On average, European bidder shareholders obtain a positive abnormal return of 1.41 % around the announcement date of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&As). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
