Abstract
- The article discusses the cultural hybridity theory as seen in the novel "The Icarus Girl," by Nigerian-British author Helen Oyeyemi. The issue of hybridity is also cited in the book "The Protestant Ethnic and the Spirit of Capitalism," by Rey Chow. The hybridity theory is examined by such authors as Pheng Cheah, James Clifford and Homi Bhabha.
