Abstract
- The article focuses on the developments of Teacher Performance Assessment (TPA) program, which was based on the successful Performance Assessment for California Teachers (PACT) in the U.S. It highlights the goal of the TPA consortium which will develop a nationally available instrument in assessing the performance of teachers. The significance of TPA towards the standardization of the quality of teaching beneficial to students is also emphasized.
