Rewriting in Tanyingxiaolu and Late Qing intellectuals' national sentiments.

On Tanyingxiaolu, an extensively rewritten Chinese version of A Voyage to Lilliput, research has been concentrated on such issues as abridgement and characterization etc. This paper is an attempt to probe into the national sentiments revealed in the aforesaid version from the aspects of the connection between the rewriting and national tradition and of the connection between the rewriting and national stance.
