Abstract
- The article discusses causes behind carbon deposition in high power (HP) steam turbines blades installed at electric power plants and presents several methods to erase it. It is stated that the carbon deposits reduces the electric power generating capacity in the power plants.Three stages that causes copper plating problems in turbines are given. Methods like electrical surge comparison and motor-current signature analysis to keep check on electric motors are also given.
