Abstract
- In this article the author discusses aspects of the report "Relative Versus Absolute Standards for Everyday Risk in Adolescent HIV Prevention Trials: Expanding the Debate," by J. Snyder, C. Miller, and G. Gray within the issue. The author notes the persuasiveness of Snyder and colleagues' argument regarding the use of a relative standard of minimal risk in HIV vaccine trials involving adolescents, and discusses Canadian regulations regarding minimal risk and ethical aspects of minimal risk.
